Welcome Back

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are very much looking forward to welcoming all children and families back to Little Waltham on Wednesday 3rd September. I hope you have all had a fantastic summer break and are ready for the start of the Autumn term.
To begin the year, we are excited to be hosting a special reptile workshop for different year groups on the very first day back. Alongside this, pupils will be settling into their new classes and beginning to establish routines for the term ahead.
A few important reminders as we start the new school year:
- PE kits:Pupils should come to school in their PE kits on their designated PE days. Trainers should be plain black or plain white.
- Bags:
- o EYFS and Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1, Year 2) pupils should only bring aschool bookbag (no backpacks).
- o Key Stage 2 (Year 3 – Year 6) pupils may bring asmall backpack only, as storage space is limited.
- Equipment:The school will be providing all stationery and learning equipment. Pupils do not need to bring pencil cases or any other equipment from home.
- Smartphones:Following our review of school policies, and after considering parent feedback, pupils are no longer permitted to bring smartphones to school. Later this half term, we will be holding a parent workshop on supporting children with technology, which we hope you will find useful.
